Fayose’s trivial war

I’ve been meaning to ask this question for some time. Is Ayo Fayose elected as governor of Ekiti state or has he taken over the role of Dr Doyin Okupe as President Goodluck Jonathan’s tabloid?

As an Ekiti man, I’m miffed by the recent activities of the governor since he took over at Government House and I’m at a loss as to whether he’s governing Ekiti State or running President Jonathan campaign. He seems to have forgotten his primary responsibility to those who voted him to power.

First, the governor continues to attack the character of his political benefactor, Olusegun Obasanjo; placing offensive adverts in the newspapers against Muhammadu Buhari. Not happy with that, I read one morning that he’s trailing the APC presidential candidate even to foreign land!

Does this man know or can he differentiate between governance of a state and being the mouthpiece of the PDP?
How many other PDP governors abandon the responsibilities of their office to concentrate on abuse of party chieftains to the detriment of their people?
How is Fayose providing dividends of democracy to Ekiti people, apart from distribution of small bags of rice and groundnut oil?
I feel ashamed and angry that my state governor is gradually turning governance to ordinariness!
Where are the programmes for growth, the strategy to achieve growth, and the people Fayose has hired to achieve this growth for the benefit of Ekiti people?
Where’s the governor’s programme on agriculture, economy, infrastructural renewal and all?
It’s time the governor of Ekiti state concentrated on governance and stopped this fruitless and unnecessary abuse of position.
