FCE yola matriculates 470 students

The Federal College of Education ( FCE) yola affiliated to university of Maiduguri has matriculated 470 students into various degree programmes of the college for 2018/2019 academic session making it the fifth times the college admitted students into its degree programmes.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony which took place in the college at the weekend, the provost of the college prof. Abdulmumin Sa’ad said this year’s matriculation is coming at a very critical moment of a significant breakthrough in his efforts of repositioning the college for academic excellence.

He further explained that, the institution have so far secured full accreditation status for seven out of nine degree programmes run by the college in affiliation with university of Maiduguri as well as full accreditation for the 24 NCE programmes.

He said the college under his watch continued to witnessed impressive performances and graduated the first set of 164 degree students with great result which includes one first class in core sciences,89 second class upper,73 second class lower and one third class.

Also speaking, the vice chancellor of university of Maiduguri prof Abubakar Njobdi  reiterated the commitments of the university to always supports the college and other institutions affiliated to the university in the pursue of their degree programmes and bring university education to the doorstep of every Nigerian .
