FCT CP loses mum

Minister of the Federal capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has commiserated with Commissioner of Police Mbu Joseph Mbu over the death of his mother, Madam Agnes Ara Obayi-Mbu, who died at the age of 80.
Mohammed expressed his condolences to the people and governments of Cross River state, particularly the immediate community and family of the deceased.

He observed a minute silence in honour of the departed soul during the special operational briefing at his official residence yesterday.
The minister said he was sad over the death and described it as monumental loss to the immediate community where until her death, was a religious and community leader.

He said that the nation would miss “the qualitative but selfless services of this elder community leader”.
He prayed to “Almighty God that her gentle soul rest in perfect peace as well as her immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.
Mama Agnes from Abia-Etung local government (formerly Ikom LGA) of Cross River state is survived by seven children, including the FCT Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mbu Joseph Mbu.
