FCT electoral commissioner tasks IPAC on peaceful conflicts resolution

The Resident Electoral Commission (REC) for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has urged the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), FCT chapter to beef up it mechanism of resolving inter and intra political conflicts amicably for the progress of the country.

Speaking Wednesday in Abuja during the inauguration of new IPAC executive in FCT, acting chairperson of the commission Hajia Salamatu Gaji Ibrahim, tasked IPAC to operate within the confines of its rules and regulation, adding that the council’s responsibility of interfacing between all political parties should be upheld.

While congratulating the new excos, representative of INEC also urged the new excos to work with the outgoing executive and every other person to ensure the success of it tenure.

Also speaking, the outgoing chairman of IPAC and the FCT chairman of Labour Party Joseph Ndirang, thanked INEC and other stakeholders for supervising to have easy transition.

For him, the new IPAC chairman Hon. Abdulrahman Ndagi, who expressed his gratitude to all the participants, assured that his administration will carry everyone along, urging the members to always attend the meeting whenever they call for obe.

“I want us to perform more than the outgoing executive and I know with your support we can do better because together with you we will build this nation through IPAC.”
