Intending aspirants into elective offices in the upcoming FCT Football Association Area Council election will cough out the sum of fifty thousand naira only(N50,000) for those vying for chairmanship.
Aspirants for the office of the vice chairman will part with the sum of forty thousand naira only(N40,000) while those vying for ordinary members will part with thirty thousand naira only (N30,000).
Speaking on the forthcoming election, secretary of the committee of the 2020 FCT Area council elections, Andrew Abbah said that the guidelines were in line with yearnings of the FCT football stakeholders.
According to him, “We have taken into careful consideration the yearnings of everyone in the FCT football family for a level-playing field for all.
“Those interested in the various positions available on the Area council will have to purchase forms which will be on sale starting from Monday, February 3rd till Monday, February 10th 2020.
“Endorsement and Returning of nomination forms would now take place between February 12th and 2020.
“Screening of candidates, will take place 13th of February to 15th of February 2030
“While displaying release of names of eligible and unqualified candidates will take place between Monday February 17th.”
He added that: “Appeals against candidates will be entertained latest on 18th-19th February 2020.
“Not only that, Appeal committee will seat on 21-22 of February 2020 as Appeal committee will take decision on the 24th February 2020” he concluded
