FCT Police nab Benue University don ‘killer’, recover his car

The FCT Police Command, Monday, arrested one Jeremiah Nnamdi at CBN Junction, along Karu axis of the FCT in connection with the murder of Professor Kwaghger of the Federal University of Agriculture, Benue state.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, ASP  Mariam Yusuf, in a press statement in Abuja, said operatives of the command acting on credible intelligence the suspect, who confessed that he and one other simply identified as Martins, currently at large, robbed and killed the university don on November 28, 2020, disposed his of body before taking possession of his vehicle, a Toyota Venza with Reg No. RSH 746 NY.

The spokesperson said the suspect, however, met his waterloo while attempting to sell the stolen vehicle, adding that effort was in place to arrest the fleeing suspect. 

She said while urging FCT residents to provide prompt information on suspected criminals, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the territory, CP Bala Ciroma, reiterated the command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property in the FCT.

The spokesperson said the suspect would be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
