FCT Yoruba community gets new leader 

Barrister Oladokun Obitoye has been elected FCT president, Yoruba community, at the just concluded election held Saturday in Gwagwalada area council.

“The election which was an affirmation as all the elected officials were returned unopposed with all the 6 area councils in the FCT participated in the election.

Speaking to Blueprint after the election, the president-elect, Oladokun thanked members for finding him worthy to lead them, adding that the job has a grasp of challenges as humans.

He expressed delight that it would equip him to have a clear vision on how to address issues and strengthen the welfare and introduce the other programmes that will improve the lot of the members.

He said he will hit the ground running to accelerate the process for the period of his tenure in office.

Oladokun appreciated the overwhelming support of the members during the election and pledged to uphold the trust and accommodate the diverse interest “in our great Yoruba community in the FCT.”
