February 25 2023 elections: Kailani tasks APC amalgamated groups on unity

Acting Director General, All Progressives Congress Amalgamated Support Groups (AASG), Engr (Dr) Kailani Muhammad has called for stronger unity and cooperation among the teeming support-groups in the efforts to garner landslide victory for the candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

Engr. Kailani, who is also the National Chairman of the Tinubu/Shettima Network (TSN), at a press conference in Abuja Tuesday, said unity and cohesion among the mass of supporters’ groups across the country, was paramount as the journey to the 25th February, 2023 presidential election gathers momentum.

Blueprint learnt that, the TSN leader, with over 15, 000 groups under his leadership, was recently asked to lead the APC Amalgamated Support Groups, following internal leadership squabbles between Dr. Nasir Muhammad Ladan and Hajiya Maryam Muhammad Danjaki.

According to Engr Kailani, “…certain positive developments in the polity have boosted the chances of our principal, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as exhibited today in Ondo state where decampees in their thousands from the Labour Party joined our fold in the APC.

“In the same vein, it will interest you to know that, out of the 28 political parties in Lagos state; about 20 have collapsed their structures and moved into the APC camp. This is to show their solidarity and support for the Tinubu/Shettima presidential project.”

The acting AASG DG commended the giant strides of President Muhammadu Buhari in the development of critical infrastructures, including roads, railways, small and medium enterprises across board in all the six geo-political zones, as well as the upgrading and renovation of airports.

He said, “Despite these developments, some Nigerians are using the issue of the currency redesign to deliberately sabotage, cast shadows and discredit the PMB government as a stumbling block to the redemption manifesto of the Jagaban.

“But we all know that the Tinubu Presidency is going to be a catalyst and replication of the unfinished good works of the Buhari administration in terms of economic diversification most especially, agriculture. The Jagaban has assured Nigerians that the agricultural sector is going to be empowered to act as a major IGR mobiliser and GDP enhancer as enshrined in his economic development template.

“This is the more reason why the two factions have to sheath their swords, cooperate with the new leadership to find a new compass for the APC Amalgamated Support Groups.

“We don’t have the luxury of dissipating our energies on internal wrangling. We must form a common front and work for the success of our principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima,” he said.
