FEMA releases official statistics of Nyanya bomb victims

Official statistics of victims of the Monday’s bomb blast at Nyanya el-Rufai Motor Park has been released by the Federal Capital Territory Administration yesterday.
Director General, FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Abbas Idriss, while addressing journalists, said 11 injured have been treated with no deaths at the Nyanya hospital.

27 corpses have been deposited at the Asokoro General Hospital and another 25 injured are receiving treatment at the emergency unit of the hospital.
15 corpses have also been deposited at Wuse General Hospital morgue and another 10 injured are receiving treatment at the emergency unit.

In Maitama General Hospital, 14 have also been deposited at the morgue as 27 are receiving treatment at the emergency unit.
14 corpses have also been deposited at the National Hospital morgue and another 25 injured
However, no corpses from the blast were deposited at Garki General Hospital which is attending to only one injured at the emergency unit of the hospital and only seven injured persons were taken to Mararaba Hospital.
The FEMA director-general called on security agencies in the FCT to draft more officials to beef up security in the nation’s capital, adding that the MoU with stakeholders on disaster management would soon be entered to foster security atmosphere.
