FERMA mulls land acquisition in Bwari

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Engineer Nuruddeen Rafindadi, has expressed the readiness of the agency to acquire land in Bwari, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for the construction of FERMA Staff housing.
A statement issued by the FERMA Head of Media unit, Mrs Maryam Sanusi, stated that the agency’s boss spoke when the Chairman of Bwari Area Council, Hon. (DrMusa Dikko visited in Abuja, last week.
The statement stated that Rafindadi expressed the hope that the Council chairman will assist with the provision of land to further cement the good relationship that exists between FERMA and the Local Government.
He added that FERMA has a close cooperation with the Federal Capital Territory on roads, attends promptly to roads within the territory as at when due.
The MD further said that FERMA as an Agency interfaces and conducts its job in the right manner.
Earlier, the Chairman, Bwari Area Council,Dikko, had commended FERMA on the rehabilitation of Roads across Bwari Area Council, adding that the purpose of his coming was to appreciate the Management and staff of FERMA for the rehabilitation of roads in his council.
He explained that his major challenge on his assumption of duty as Chairman of the Council was the deplorable condition of the roads which inflicted a lot of pain on the users.
