The federal government has confirmed five new cases of Coronavirus, Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, said Wednesday.
The minister said four cases are in Lagos state while one in Ekiti state, stressing that two of the victims came from the United Kingdom through land border while three victims came from the United States of America including a mother and child.
The federal government has also issued a travel ban on 13 countries over the Coronavirus pandemic.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr Boss Mustapha, who disclosed this while briefing journalists in Abuja, said the countries are United States of America, United Kingdom, China, Japan, Iran, Switzerland, Norway, Netherland, France, South Korea, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Mustapha, who is the chairman of the Presidential Action Team on the Control of Coronavirus, said government had already issued travel ban on officials from traveling to high risk countries.
