The federal government said Tuesday that the Bank of Industry (BOI) has approved $20 million technology fund for young innovators while the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is offering a N90 billion soft loan for small scale agriculture enterprises.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity in the Office of the Vice President, Mr Laolu Akande.

The statement said the decisions were some of the outcomes of a meeting to review progress of government’s support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the State House in Abuja.

The statement said the national MSMEs clinics, driven by the vice president, have now reached 26 states of the federation, with more clinics to come in the series.

The statement said the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is now poised to register more Nigerians venturing into the food and drugs businesses.
