FG: Over 100 youths to benefit from N75bn NYIF in Osun


The federal government has hinted that over 100 youths in Osun state will benefited from the N75billion Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF). 


The Minister for Youths and Sports, Mr Sunday Dare, disclosed this in Ile-Ife during the Royal African Young Leadership Forum (RAYL) 2021 award session. 


He said, “we are awarding a hundred of our youths out of thousands of them. They are been awarded for the skills they possess, the successes they recorded and the fact that the future is in their hands.  


“This will serve as an encouragement to others out there and I urge you all to go out there to reach out and connect to others who have similar skills, dreams and vision. 


“The N75 Billion Nigeria Youth Investment Fund, all the 100 awardees will be granted accelerated approval to be able to draw fund from the NYIF that will come directly from me on behalf of President Buhari. They will benefit between N250,000 to N10 million, all conditions apply. Over 5,300 youths have benefited so far. 


“Youths can connect with us, the issue of our youths, their demands, aspirations and others, the Nigeria State and its apparatus must raise to meet the aspirations of the youths. 


“Two months ago President Buhari promised to set up a National Youth Committee that will draw our youth from six geo-political zones, about 20 to 21 youths, that team has been put together and very soon they will be meeting quarterly, they will go around the country to listen to the demands of the youths and relay them to the president himself. That team will soon be inaugurated.”


Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, stated that the decision to reward the first-ever female combat helicopter pilot in the Nigerian Air Force, late Flying Officer, Tolulope Arotile, and others, was because of their exceptional performances. 
The Executive Director Business Development, Nigeria Export and Import Bank, Hon Stella Okotete, and other eminent personalities we’re also rewarded.
