Finally, Flying Eagles open camp for U20 AFCON

The Flying Eagles will Monday open training camp in Abuja for next year’s U20 AFCON in Egypt.

Coach Ladan Bosso is expected to call up both players based locally as well as those overseas for this training camp.

“The coach (Bosso) has proposed Monday, November 28, for the Flying Eagles to resume camp for the AFCON,” an official informed SCORENigeria.

“He is waiting the approval of the NFF in this regard.”

The camp could break for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The Flying Eagles won the WAFU B qualifiers in Niger to book their passage to the 2023 U20 AFCON, which will determine Africa’s four representatives to the U20 FIFA World Cup in Indonesia.

The U20 AFCON will be played between February 18 and March 12, 2023, while the U20 World Cup is from May 20.

Nigeria last featured at the U20 World Cup in 2019 in Poland, where they reached the Round of 16.
