Financial impropriety: Tiv Youth demand investigation of suspended BIPC Boss

The Tiv Youth Council Worldwide has called for the immediate commencement of investigation into allegations of financial impropriety leveled against the suspended Managing Director of the Benue investment, and Property Company (BIPC)

The president of the youth council, Hon. Mike Msuaan, stated this in a press release in Abuja while reacting to the sack of Barr. Alex Adum by Governor Samuel Ortom.

In a letter of suspension, the governor particularly accused Barr. Adum of gross financial impropriety and directed his immediate indefinite suspension from BIPC.

The president of the Tiv youth group has stated that a thorough investigation into the alleged nebulous sale of Benue properties in Kaduna, Lagos and Abuja should be carried out with the aim of returning the Benue legacy properties back to the state government.

“We call for a detailed investigation and explanation by Barr. Alex Adum on the alleged sale of Benue properties in Kaduna, Lagos and Abuja under the watch of the former CEO.. As the investment hub of the government, what has happened to the proceeds from such sales should be investigated.

“We demand that Governor Ortom extends his search light to other MDA’s in the state in fulfillment of his much touted slogan of” if you chop money, money will chop you.

“This could be the reason, democracy dividends have continued to elude the people of Benue under his administration,” he said.
