Finidi fears for Nigeria at 2018 World Cup

Former Nigeria World Cup star Finidi George has said he has his doubts about the Super Eagles making an impact at Russia 2018. Nigeria are the least ranked team in Group D, which also has Argentina, Croatia and Iceland. “I doubt if this team can take us to the next level, which is quarterfinal or semi-final of the World Cup,” said former Ajax Amsterdam winger Finidi. “We have already played in the Round of 16, but we need to get to the next stage now. “I hope the coach plays his best players though.” Finidi was an important member of the Golden Generation of the early 90s who reached the knockout rounds of the 1994 World Cup in the USA after the AFCON in Tunisia same year.
