Fintiri reference point at govs’ forum – Bala

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has canvassed for the re-election of Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in 2023.

Bala described Fintiri as a reference point in Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF), and that he was known for his honestly and sincerity in engineering lots of development to Adamawa state.

The Bauchi state governor stated this in Michika local government area of Adamawa state while commissioning the 7.8 kilometers Michika township roads initiated by Governor fintiri as part of activities marking his two years in office.

“The governor of Adamawa state has brought a lot of goodwill and development into politics. He is an honest young man with a mission for the youths. Even in the governor’s forum he is a reference point everybody refers to for his honest and sincerity. Whenever he said something he does it.

“I have seen what he has done in Yola – the first bridge in North East and I have seen the qualities of these roads and by virtue of my pedigree as former minister of FCT, I can smell a good road if I see it. This road can last 50 years. I believe I don’t need to tell you, you are all politicians, growing young men and women. What you require is good leadership. Definitely I know 2023 is a thing of the past with somebody like Fintiri.”

According to him, “It is not surprising that despite the effect of COVID-19 with all the economic doldrums and the problems the APC-led administration has subjegated Nigerians in terms of economic planning and mal-administratuon, Fintiri is able to do this kind of urban renewal in Michika which has been devastated by Boko Haram. This should be a template for peer review assessment by Nigeria Governors forum.”

Earlier, Governor Fintiri said Mukadas, Lassa, futy low-cost roads and hospital road in michika totalling 7.8km is part of the package of his administration’s urban renewal campaign which he is deliberately prosecuting to bridge the infrastructural gap between urban and semi-urban centres.

He promised to continue with the current pace until all citizens derive comfort to live anywhere in Adamawa statee and enjoy all the basic amenities they would ordinarily crave for in the cities.
