Fintiri set to dialogue with ‘Shilla boys’

In keeping with his campaign promises and inaugural speech, Gov Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state will on Wednesday dialogue with the notorious shilla boys in the state.

This is coming after series of warnings and two weeks ultimatum he initially handed over to the group, their collaborators and sponsors in the state during his inaugural speech to embrace dialogue and repent or face the full wrath of the law.

The governor disclosed this Tuesday when he received Jimeta community leaders and stakeholders who paid him a visit to thank him for appointing one of them Engr.Bashir Ahmed as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

He further explained that the aim of the dialogue is to enable government know their problem and proffer solutions after which they will go after those of them who refused to comply with government directives to embrace peace.

He said he has already sent a letter to them via district head of Jimeta inviting them for dialogue in line with the 2 weeks ultimatum he handed over to them.

Speaking earlier,the district head of Jimeta Inuwa Baba Paris said they are in government House to thank him for appointing an indigene of Jimeta as the new SSG and assured him of their supports.
