Fintiri’s performance has buried APC in Adamawa – PDP

The peoples Democratic party(PDP) in Adamawa state has said that, the performance of Gov.Ahmadu Umaru fintiri in the last one year has continued to attract massive defections from APC and other opposition parties in the state into the party.

According to the PDP, this is a signal to the end of APC  in Adamawa state and the Northern senatorial district of the state.

This was disclosed by the state PDP organizing secretary, Hon.Hamza Bello in an interview with journalists in Yola at the defection of former federal lawmaker who represented Mubi North/Mubi South and Maiha federal constituency, Hon. Abubakar Wambai.

Wambai and other APC chieftains alongside thousands of supporters who defected to PDP in an elaborate event in Government House Yola.

He attributed the defection galore that continued to hit the opposition camps in the state by the day to the wonderful perfornance of Gov.Fintiri who has changed the development narrative of the state.

“People have seen the wonderful performance of our governor  and how he is bringing development to all parts of the  state and ensuring fairness and justice among the people of the state, that is why they are defecting to our party enmasse to support him and his government.so.that he will continue with his good work of building Adamawa of our collective dreams”

“As a party we are happy with this development and as the organizing secretary  of the party in the state that bring this government to power, I feel fulfilled that our government is performing beyond expectations and this signalled the burial rites of APC and other oppositions in Adamawa North and Adamawa as a whole”

On how these defections will add value to the fortune of the party in 2023,  he noted that “politics is all about the people  and PDP is the only party in Nigeria that belong to everybody unlike other parties who are not only factionalised but also controlled by the whims and caprices of few individuals at the detriment of other party stakeholders.”

According to him, the defection of the former lawmaker and his thousands of supporters among other critical APC stakeholders from the northern senetorial district of the state will add value to PDP going by their popularity, influences and acceptability in Adamawa politics.

He wondered what would happen in the next elections if PDP could win election in 2019 without the defectors, denying speculations that the defectors were financially induced to defect to PDP.

He also noted that it is  APC that controls the federal goverment with enormous resources at their disposal and so are  in a better position to induce people.
