First Chief Imam of Makogi turbaned

It was jubilation in Makogi Muslim community, Magboro in Owode local government area of Ogun state, as Fadilat Sheikh Abdulkareem Abdulwahab, was officially turbaned as the Chief Imam of Makogi central mosque.
The ceremony, which took place at Makogi Primary School, also included the turbaning and presentation of awards to some prominent personalities who have contributed to the growth of Islam in the area.
Speaking at the event, Fadilat Sheikh Li-Hadi Orunsolu, the Grand Chief Imam of Egbaland who was represented by Alhaji AbdulWaheed Akewusola, solicited for the support of the Makogi Muslim community.
“We are happy turbaning the Chief Imam of Makogi Central Mosque, which is under the jurisdiction of the Grand Chief Imam of Egbaland, we seek for continuous support of the Imam and pray for a successful tenure,” he said.
Delivering the lecture of the day, Fadilat Sheikh Muyideen Salmon Hussein Al-Adaby, Chief Imam of Offa, Kwara state, reiterated the need to spend in the way of Islam citing examples of Khadijat, the wife of the Prophet, Abu Bakr and some other early Muslims who immensely spent in the way of Islam.
Among those turbaned with various titles were Alhaji Abdulwaheed Alade, the Baba Adini; Alhaja Fatimo Amusat, Iya Sunnah; Alhaji Abdulhameed Alawaye, Borokini Adini; Alhaji Abdulhakeem Owolabi, Aare Adini, Alhaja Mutiat Abdul Hamid, Majekobaje Adini; Alhaja Fatimo Yekini, Iya Adini all of Makogi Central Mosque among others.
