The deplorable condition of the road from Ogbomoso leading to Oyo town, Oyo state needs hasty rehabilitation by the federal government. It has been a death trap for road users.
On October 4, an accident hacked a driver of a commercial bus to death on the road in discourse. This has thrown his relatives, friends, and well-wishers into a pit of sadness.
In September as well, the glacial hands of death captured a couple reportedly identified as Mr. John and Mrs. Hannah Oyeniran by an accident that happened on this same route.
Aside death the road is causing, traveling will be stressful and the perpetual quivering of the vehicle will be at the detriment of the passengers.
Those living in the area are fed up with both the fatal and ghastly accidents happening on daily basis.
Consequently, we appeal to the federal government of President Muhammadu Buhari to hasten the rehabilitation of the road which is one of the duties the government is charged to render for the betterment of the people.
May the souls of the deceased rest, with tranquility, in the Elysium. God shall also grant the bereaved families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
