Flood has washed away a bridge at Kafin Mardanni in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
A resident in the area, Mallam Mutawikil Yusuf Rafinyashi told Blueprint in Zaria on Wednesday that the bridge collapsed as a result of flood occasioned by constant rainfall that lasted for two days
Report had it that a 52-year-old man, Alhaji Auwalu Balarabe was drawn by the flood.
He said out the remains of the deceased has been buried on Tuesday in the village.
Mallam Rafinyashi called on the state government come to the aid of the people of the area to reconstruct the collapsed bridge.
He said the majority of the locals were farmers that transport their farm to markets after harvest now that the bridge collapsed there was no way to transport their farm produce to market.
