Flood sweeps man away in Ondo

The community of Iwaro Oka in Akoko South West local government area of Ondo state has been thrown into confusion over the sweeping away of a middle aged man by flood.

Sources  said  the motorcycle of the farmer simply called Akede was seen inside the river very close to a popular filling station which forced people to be curious.

Family members were thrown into mourning when all efforts to find him dead or alive proved abortive.

The remains of the dead man was recovered in a river very close to St Patrick’s College, Iwaro Oka over the weekend.

Members of the family of the bereaved were in pensive mood when our correspondent visited the family house.

The deceased was described by his neighbours as cool headed, easy going person, who cherished his family.
Efforts to speak with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Yusuf proved abortive.

Last year, similar flood swept away a final year girl of Adekunle  Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko and her whereabouts remains unknown.
