Flyover accident kills tipper driver in Delta

 

Tragedy struck in Asaba, state capital as an unidentified tipper driver died after having accident that threw him out of flyover.

The accident occurred on Thursday night at the popular and ever busy inter beau roundabout.

It was gathered that the three other occupants of the tipper were seriously injured.

According to an eyewitness, “the driver was on high speed, and was on phone call when he lost control. The tipper fell from the flyover and he couldn’t shake or alter a word thereafter, while the three others were seriously wounded.

It was leant that the four occupants including the driver were engaged in discussion when the accident occurred.

The eyewitness said they rushed to the scene of the accident and dragged the four occupants out the tipper and rushed them to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), with a Hilux van of a good citizen.

The driver was said to have died in the hospital as a result of the non challant attitude of Doctors and nurses at the hospital.

The doctors and nurses were said to have demanded hospital registration card from the patient before he could be attended to.

“The sympathizers pleaded with the doctor but he refuse that we must obtain card before he will commence treatment, so by the time one of us ran to the obtain card, the driver die” eyewitness said
