FMSDIGA postpones collection of instruments of national awards

The Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs (FMSDIGA) has postponed the date for the collection of instruments of national honours award, earlier slated for 1st of June 2023.

This was contained in a press release issued by the Director of Press, Julie O.J on behalf of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Ibiene P. Roberts, and made available to Blueprint newspapers.

The statement regrets the earlier announcements in national dailies informing the recipients to come and collect their instruments of national honours award on 1st June 2023, has changed.

The statement said “due to circumstances beyond the control of the Ministry, the date for the collection of the instruments of the award as stated above is not feasible,” adding that a new date for the collection of the instruments of the award would be communicated to concerned recipients in due course.

Accordingly, the statement further directed all award recipients to send copies of their citations/resumes to the Secretary, National Award Committee on or before the 9th of June 2023.

The statement adding that the soft copies of their resumes should be sent to: [email protected][email protected] in the following format; (a.) Biodata: tittles, surname, gender, Phone number, e-mail, state of origin, address. (b.) citation and biography (not more than 500 words, (early life (hobbies etc). (c.) passport photograph.

The ministry apologised over any inconveniences this change of date might have caused the recipients.

The statement directed all recipients to contact the secretary, national award committee on: 08059382659, 08034508837 for further inquires or clarifications.
