The Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Teslim Folarin, Tuesday, condoled the Oyo state Councillors Forum on the death of its five members.
Senator Folarin in a condolence message described the deaths of the local council legislators as great loss to the APC family, their constituencies and their immediate families.
The Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District stressed that the contributions of the dead councillors to the uplift the downtrodden masses will be remembered forever.
The condolence message read in part: “I was both shocked and saddened to hear about the tragic losses of some elected councillors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State. My heart aches for the Oyo State Councillors’ Forum, the progressive family, the constituencies they represented and the families they left behind”, he said.
Senator Folarin added, “I convey my deep condolences to Oyo State Councillors’ Forum, Oyo ALGON, bereaved families, followers and our party, APC.”
“I pray to the Almighty God to rest their souls in peace and give strength to all of us to overcome the unfathomable losses”.
The Senator urged the Oyo APC leadership should take an advantage of the Holy month of Ramadan to organise special prayers for the departed members and to also support the bereaved families.
