Forum demands sack of Jos North council chair

The forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairmen in Jos North local government area said they have passed the vote of no confi dence on the chairman of the council’s management committee, Hon.
Philip Nyam.
The forum in a petitioned dated March 15, 2018 and signed by Gabriel Azi Ajiji, Suleiman Salisu, Chief S.
Uzo, Umar Aliyu, Pius Jikson and 15 others, addressed to the state chairman of the party, copied Governor Simon Lalong.
According to the 20 ward chairmen, they have in their meeting discussed and highlighted fi ve major points, that instead of 15 per cent monetary deductions out of appointees’ salaries that is supposed to accrue to them for the running of the party, only 10 per cent was released by the council chairman.
They alleged that the chairman has not been supporting the ongoing voter registration by INEC in all the wards in the local government, alleging that the chairman failed to support the party during the last party primaries for elections into local government councils.
The petitioners said Hon Nyam has left them without offices, saying that he failed to utilise the funds released to him for mobilisation of party members to welcome Mr.
President during his visit to the state.
Specifically, they said “the chairman received N3 million for that purpose but that they only received N280, 000”.
“We the entire ward chairmen have no confidence in the chairman, Philip Nyam and Secretary, Hassan Isa Maimadara of Jos North because they are no confidence in the chairman, Philip Nyam and Secretary, Hassan Isa Maimadara of Jos North because they are not carrying the party along,” they said.
