Foundation advocates passage of CRA on education

The founder and CEO of Assisting, Caring and Empowering Africans Foundation (ACE Charity) Kiki James, has advocated the passage of the Child Rights Act, which guarantees children the right to education through junior secondary school To achieve this, Ms. James said, she hosts public forums, creates policy briefs for state governors and works with the Commissioner of Education, and at the same time producing radio segments that promote girls’ education and works with state officials to secure funding for girls’ secondary schools.
For her part, the Chief Executive Officer of Malala Fund, Farah Mohammed said that “now more than ever, leadership matters and in these Champions we see ambition, courage and dedication,” “With their wisdom and hard work we look forward to working with them to achieve Malala and Ziauddin’s vision of seeing every girl in school and free to choose her own future. We are proud to invest in their work.” “Malala Fund believes local education activists are best placed to understand the challenges in their communities and deliver solutions.
But these women and men often lack the funding and support necessary to increase their impact. “Malala Fund aims to close this gap by connecting our Gulmakai Network Champions with each other and to the tools, training and partners they need to spark social and systemic change. “Our Champions work across Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, India and countries hosting Syrian refugees, like Turkey and Lebanon,” he said.
