Foundation cautions students on hard drug consumption

A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Audu Tanko Hope Foundation, based in Nasarawa state has cautioned students and other youths against indulging in drug abuse and consumption of hard drugs.

The NGO’s chief executive officer, Amb. Philip Audu-Tanko, gave the advice on Friday during its awareness campaign against drug abuse to Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga.

He said drug abuse had ruined the lives of my students and the youth; hence, the need for them to shun it at all times.

The chief executive officer said they were at the polytechnic to educate the students against drug abuse.

“We are here to educate, sensitise and speak against drug abuse because many of our youths are into drugs without knowing the negative effects,” he said.

Responding, the proprietor of Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga, Mr. David Abuluyq, commended the Foundation for the awareness campaign to the school and called for its sustenance.

He assured of his continued readiness to collaborate with individuals, NGOs and other relevant bodies to tackle drug abuse in the country.
