Foundation gives succour to less-privileged school children

In a bid to put smiles on the faces of orphans and the less-privileged in society especially as students resumed for a new academic session, a group, Maya Care Foundation, embarked on the distribution of school accessories, award of scholarship and payment of school fees to such classes of people across central senatorial zone of Kogi state.

The foundation is a non-governmental and non-partisan organisation registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to address social, environment, education and economic challenges bedeviling the well-being of humanity with a special attention on rural areas.

Its chief executive officer (CEO) Mrs Sefiya Abdulmumin Danga in her address at various schools across the zone appreciated the Almighty Allah for giving the foundation the opportunity to serve humanity.

She also used the opportunity to appreciate the state government for creating the enabling environment for NGOs such as hers to thrive.

In her usual philanthropic gestures at various schools visited, she assured the students of her support because, according to her, education enhances the beauty of the mind by learning to see the beauty in every little thing.

She therefore advised the students about the greatness of their destiny, hence shouldn’t allow fear to intimidate them by any means.

Mrs Danga emphasized that education is the key, promising to do everything humanly possible reach to serve humanity especially school children.

As part of the foundations humanitarian gesture, it reached out to Orphans & widows at Agassa to distribute mosquito nets, school bags, shoes and food plates to ameliorate their welfare.

Principals and heads of respective benefiting schools appreciated Hajiya Sefiya for the gesture as they prayed the Almighty Allah to bless her and the foundation.
