Friendly: Nigeria, Tunisia stake pride in Austria Kick-off 7:30pm

It is going to be another feisty confrontation as Super Eagles of Nigeria goes for Carthage Eagles of Tunisia jugular in what promises to be a dicey encounter as the two African giants trade tackle in Austria in an international friendly encounter on Tuesday evening.

The match is the second of two friendly games lined up for the Gernot Rohr side by the chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation as part of the team preparations for next month’s 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone.

Super Eagles lost the first encounter to Algeria by a lone goal last Friday at the Worthersee Stadium, Klangefurt, Austria.
The Super Eagles were completely outplayed by the Algerians with Ramy Bensebaini netting the winner in the 6th minute.
The expectations are high that the team will bounce back when they face Tunisia and that Gernot Rohr who has come under fire for the below par performance of his midfielders will ring changes in the team and get the boys to fire and all cylinder and redeem the nation’s image.

New comer and left back Zaidu Sanusi had a splendid debut so also is goalkeeper Maduka Okoye who was excellent between the sticks.
Others like old timers Tyronne Ebuehi, Leon Balogun, and Alex Iwobi all put up impressive displays for the Eagles, while majority others find going tough against the sleekly Algerian
Genk forward Paul Onuachu had a below par game, while the likes of Semi Ajayi, Samuel Chukwueze, William Troost-Ekong and Samuel Kalu were not at their best.
With his thinking cap, the gaffer is likely to drop Onuachu for either Kelechi Iheanacho and Cyriel Dessers against the Tunisians .
Chidera Ejuke is also likely get a look in and make his debut against the former African champions.
With his desire to bounce back , Rohr may be left with little or no chance than to file out his ‘old reliable’ to salvage the much needed victory to boost his sagging image.
