FRSC confirms one dead, 2 injured in Ebonyi auto crash 

The commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRC), Uche Chukwurah, Sunday confirmed the death of a male adult road user with two others injured in an accident that occurred on Abakaliki Express Road.

Blueprint gathered that that the accident occurred along Abakaliki-Onueke Road, close to Onuzo Nwedu Bus Stop, involving a 911 lorry coming from Onueke which collided with an L-300 bus coming from Abakaliki.

A source that spoke to our reporter said the two casualties were allegedly recorded and nobody knows the position of the other passengers. 

“The accident occurred during the rainfall and one of the drivers had faulty wipers.

“But men and officers of FRSC were also on the ground to help the situation.”

When contacted, the corps commander of the FRSC, Uche Chukwurah, confirmed the incident and said, “It was an head-on collision and the three are male adults, but one died, two were injured. Both the dead and the injured were taken to Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching hospital.  It involved a Mitsubishi 911 and a Toyota Hiace.”
