FRSC warns motorists in Taraba to adhere to road safety rules

The Taraba state acting sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp, Mr Babatunde Farinloye Sunday warned motorists in the state to always adhere to road safety rules in order to help stem the scourge of traffic crashes in the state.

Farinloye, who stated this in Jalingo while briefing journalists on the activities of this year’s United Nations Global Road Safety week said the issue of safety demands collective responsibility.

He added that United Nations remains committed in creating windows for evolving systematic approaches in tackling road safety matters.

“The previous edition of the global week events took place in 2005, 2013 and 2017.

In 2019, many activities were embarked upon for these events including Juma’at prayer, executive walk on Saturday morning and church service” he said.

According to him, the occasion of the United Nations Global week event was quite remarkable and significant in the development of road safety management and administration in Nigeria.


He explained that it is pertinent for members states to come up with strategies that would help sterm the scourge of traffic crashes especially in the developing economies
