Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has warned petroleum product consumers to desist from panic buying as it had enough in stock to go round.
The Corporation also assured that while the fuel queues in Lagos had largely disappeared those of Abuja were being reduced day-by-day.
According to the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Garba Deen Muhammad, the current petrol shortage would soon be over.
He blamed panic buying for the multitude of motorists still in the filling stations in Abuja.

He said over 200 trucks laden with petrol had been supplied to Abuja and environs yesterday, assuring that the trend would continue.
Muhammad further gave the assurances that the corporation was doing everything humanly possible to ensure supply and distribution of products was not disrupted in any way.
He appealed to motorists to be orderly while waiting to buy petrol and also called on marketers not to hoard the product.
