Fulani accuse Yero of favouring Southern Kaduna victims

The Mobgal Fulbe Development Association, an association of Fulani in Southern Kaduna, at the weekend accused Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero of Kaduna state of favouring Southern Kaduna victims of the attacks area without considering Fulani victims.
The association said its members had been killed in Southern Kaduna without any action and sympathy by the state government, and had written the government several times without response.
Its secretary, Malam Ahmad Mairiga Yandeh, said in a statement: “We wish to appeal to you to come to our aid in Moro’a Chiefdom of Kaura local government area, which is tense at the moment. As at now, six Fulani have been killed, their houses are still being burnt, and the few security agents cannot contend with the situation.”
Accusing the governor of bias, Yandeh said: “When Fulani were killed three weeks ago, the governor did not show any sign of sympathy, neither did he visit the area. Even when we wrote to the governor, there was no response from him. He also did not visit the area, but upon the news of this attack in the same area, he abandoned every engagement and rushed to the area. The governor, who promised to be governor for all is expected not to discriminate against any group at least for equity.”
