Fulani herders now living in fears of attack – Miyetti Allah

Oyo state Chairman of Miyetti Allah, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar Jiji on Saturday said that Fulanis in the state are now living in fears following the attack and alleged  assault on the Seriki Fulani of Oyo state, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir by some youths in Igangan on Friday

Alhaji Jiji who raised the alarm in Ibadan while speaking with journalists asked the federal government and the Oyo state government to ensure the arrest of Chief Sunday Adeyemo over the alleged assault on the Seriki Fulani

The Oyo state Miyetti Allah Charman maintained that following the Friday attack and assault in Ibarapa area of the state herders in the state are now leaving in fear while many of them had fled their homes for safety.

While urging Yoruba and Fulani residents to allow peace to reign in Oyo state, Alhaji Jiji said:  “Since government is supreme to individuals, the state and federal government should come to their rescues and assure residents of their safety.

“We are all Nigerians. We must learn how to leave in peace. We are all Nigerians. We appreciate and love the governor of Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde for saying the truth. We need to join hand together to ensure we have a peaceful society. Our people are not happy and many of them are living in fear. Some had fled their abode”.
