Fulani leader hails traditional rulers over peace campaign

National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, has commended northern traditional rulers for their peace-promoting campaigns across the country. Bodejo made the commendation at the offi cial installation and presentation ofstaff of offi ce to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Shehu Chindo Yamusa 111, the Emir of Keffi , at the weekend. He said the coming together of traditional rulers from the North to honour Yamusa’s ceremony “is a great sign that the region is peaceful and united.”

Bodejo urged them not to relent in their initiative, adding that the nation depended on them for peaceful co-existence to entrench a Greater Nigeria. Th e Fulani leader further felicitated with the emir for the honour bestowed on him, urging him to take the footsteps of his father for the unity and togetherness of his Chiefdom in particular and the country in general. Th e Miyetti Allah president also described Yamusa as “a man of wisdom with good leadership style.” It would be recalled that Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state, on Saturday installed and presented fi rst class staff of offi ce to the 15th Emir of Keffi , Alhaji Yamusa, at a colourful ceremony held in Keffi , Keffi local government area of the state. Th e traditional rulers present at the occasion we the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi ii, Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, and many others.
