FUTMINNA rusticates 20 students for low performance

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) in Niger state has advised 20 students to withdraw from the university due to poor academic performances. This was stated in the university’s newsletter Number 709, and tweeted in myschool.ng.
The decision to expel the undergraduates was taken at the 422nd meeting of the university’s senate. The expulsions of two of the students, according to the newsletter, were caused by their absence from the university for two consecutive sessions without official permission. Meanwhile 18 other students were withdrawn from the university due to poor academic performance
. Ten of the students were from the department of Chemical Engineering; five were from the department of Animal Production, four from the department of Agricultural Economics and Extension Technology, while the remaining one was from the department of Crop Production
