G/Eaglets open camp Sunday in Abuja


With the lifting of ban on contact sports by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19, five time World Champions, the Golden Eaglets will open their training camp ahead of the U-17 AFCON qualifiers for the WAFU Zone 2 on Sunday in Abuja.


As usual, the camp is expected to be thrown open with FIFA Goal Project been considered to stage the exercise.
The team gaffer led by Fatai Amoo have been going round the streets of the nation picking quality players ahead of the exercise
The U-17 AFCON qualifiers will kick off on December 5 in Benin Republic with Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Burkina Faso all expected to feature.


The top two teams from this qualifying series will qualify for the U17 AFCON slated for Morocco next year.
Five-time world champions Nigeria finished third at last year’s AFCON in Tanzania to qualify for the U17 World Cup in Brazil.
