Galadiman Zazzau joins Kaduna gov’ship race

A traditional title holder in Zazzau emirate of Kaduna state, Dr Ja’afar Sa’ad (Galadiman Ruwan Zazzau) has joined the strong opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with a declaration to contest the governorship of the state in 2019.
Our correspondent reports that his declaration came few days after obtaining the party membership card from his Kaura ward in Zaria local government of the state.
Making the formal declaration at Northern Senatorial District office of the party, Gwargwaje located on Zaria-Kaduna express way the aspirant pledged to prioritize Youths and Women development to make them self reliant through empowerment programme.
He said that the essence of such was to provide both the youth and women a unique opportunity to access loan with less difficulty.
“I always have the belief that if these groups are given the necessary support and encouragement, they will not only be productive but will become employers of labour.
“Therefore, I will encourage them to access loan to start off businesses of their choice to become self-employed,” he assured.
On the PDP national convention, Sa’ad lauded the party for holding a peaceful and successful convention in 2017, describing it as free, fair and transparent.
Dr Sa’ad called on his party members to remain law abiding, united and focused in the quest to dethrone the ruling APC at all levels in the state.
The aspirant pledged to tackle the various security issues bedevilling the state as well as introduce new strategies to tackle youth and women empowerment.
“The essence of introducing small scale business is to ensure that the two important segments (youth and women), being the largest in the society, are engaged.
“We want small businesses encouraged through Youth and Women Development Bank, so that these categories of people can get loan with less difficulties.”
“This will make them become self subsistence and later become employers of labour too. We don’t want people to solely rely on government for everything,” he noted.
