Ganduje rates council directorate exceptional

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has said the state council affairs directorate is apt among its counterparts in enhancing good service delivery.

The governor made this known at the North West regional meeting of Secretaries to the State Government and Permanent Secretaries of the Cabinet Affairs Office at the federal and state levels, held at the state capital recently.

Ganduje, represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna said his administration has attached more importance to the state council affairs directorate, pledging that Kano state government would continue to give all the desire support to the directorate in discharging its duties.

“I want to strongly assure you that Kano Government will continue to give its support to the directorate through training and retraining of its staff for the effective and efficient service deliver,” said Ganduje.

For the meeting, Abdullahi Ganduje said it is a laudable initiative which would greatly assist the stakeholders to enhance good service delivery, adding that…” this kind of synergy will definitely lead to prompt implementation of people centred policies, projects and programmes at both federal and state levels in a rapidly changing ICT world.”

The governor then urged the Participants to refocus their attention on the confidentiality and secrecy of the government before, during and after each executive meeting.

He, however, commended the effort of the cabinet affairs office of the secretary to the government of the federation for the initiative and for allowing the state to host the meeting.

“Let me at this juncture, reiterate the commitments of our administration in  partnering with the Federal government, ministries, agencies and development partners for a successful service delivery,” he stated.

In his remarks, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha who was represented by the permanent secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Sabiu Zakari said the meeting was designed to further develop synergy between cabinet affairs offices at the federal and state levels with the aim of improving delivery of service.

Boss Mustapha  said similar meetings were being conducted in the south- west,  south – East and South – South zones which were held in Lagos,  Anambra and Delta states on July 4, 11 and 16, 2019 respectively.

Mustapha announced that the remaining North – East and Noth- Central meetings would hold on July 22 and 25, 2019 at Gombe and Nasarawa states, respectively.

He then commended Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for finding it worthy to host the event and expressed his appreciation to the DFID-PEAL for working closely with them in organizing the meeting.
