Gbajabiamila hails Bala for resolving state assembly crisis


The speaker of House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila has commended the Bauchi state Governor Bala Mohammed for facilitating the resolution of the leadership crisis that recently rocked the state assembly.


Gbajabiamila gave the commendation Monday when he led some members of the House of Representatives on a condolence visit to government and people of the state over the loss of  father of the member Representing Ganjuwa Darazo federal constituency honourable, Mansur Manu Soro.

The speaker said the efforts made by the governor in bringing to an end the crisis that led to emergence of parallel leadership in the state assembly was an indication of his administration’s readiness to allow the rule of law to prevail.

Responding, the state Governor Bala Mohammed who expressed appreciation to the speaker for the  solidarity shown to the members from the state noted that  he would continue to accord the needed support for the state  9th assembly to discharge its statutory duty diligently.


He also used the opportunity to emphasize the need for the national assembly to revisit its decision on the proposed Kafin Zaki Dam in the state with a view to addressing the incessant floods threatening the lives and properties of various communities across the state.
