Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and his deputy, Hon. Idris Wase have congratulated Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, on his reelection for a second term in office.
Gbajabiamila in his congratulatory message through his spokesman, Lanre Lasisi, said Akeredolu’s reelection has shown that both the Governor and his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), have wide acceptance among the people of the state.
The Speaker also commended the hard work of Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is the APC National Campaign Chairman for the Ondo state election.
”Gov. Sanwo-Olu sold the achievements of Gov. Akeredolu to the people of Ondo through his strategic implementation of the party’s campaign programme”, he said, adding that the people of Ondo State have made the right choice by returning Akeredolu for a second term.
Also in his message, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Puma, Deputy Speaker of the House, Wase described Governor Akeredolu’s victory as a reward for his excellent performance.
“I wish to congratulate His Excellency, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN on his well-deserved victory in the recently conducted gubernatorial election. This is the reward for hard work.
“Your performance and good working relationship with the people of the state in the last four years have reinforced their confidence in you. Your resounding victory at the poll is therefore a testimony to the fact that you have kept faith with your campaign promises”, he said.
