Goár donates poverty reduction tools to constituency

The member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Emmanuel Goár, has donated poverty reduction tools worth millions of naira to his constituents.

Making the donation which ranged from irrigation water pumps to sewing machines, grinding machines, and motor cycles, Goár said the gesture comes within the empowerment scheme of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).”

Speaking during the presentation ceremony at Trinity Missionary College, Pankshin, Goár said “I stand in humble gratitude to you again this day for your trust and confidence which have kept me on course in the National Assembly.”
He said: “Today, i have gone beyond legislative work to see that my constituents also benefit from my humble representation.

The presentation of working tools today is also my humble way of campaigning against poverty, increasing income and employment, and improving the living standard of our people.”
He added: “Beneficiaries of water pumps, for instance, will add up to a generation of entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector; do not sell these tools, but put them into use for the improvement of your present living conditions.”
