Gombe APC adopts consensus at ward, LG, other congresses

Ahead of the party congresses Gombe State chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) has agreed on consensus across ward, local governments and state level to of the governing party for three years 

The state governor, Alhaji Muhammudu Inuwa Yahaya, disclosed this while reading the communique after the APC stakeholders meeting in Gombe Thursday 

He noted that consensus is a constitutional preserve of any party, so the state caucus has chosen it.

The governor said the resolution  is in line with the guidelines of the party congress from ward, local government to the state and national levels.

 “The meeting resolved to adopt a consensus in the forthcoming congresses of the party at the ward, Local government and state levels.

During the meeting all stakeholders has affirmed loyalty to the leadership of Gov Inuwa Yahaya in providing leadership and direction to the party and in the conduct of all congresses.

Gov Yahaya said that stakeholders are very important in the party “because we came into office through their support. consensus is a constitutional right of every party. We should support the party in getting good candidates that will serve the interest of all.

While speaking with journalists shortly after the meeting, the former governor of the state and senator representing Gombe Central, Muhammad Danjuma Goje, also agreed the resolution adopted by the state.

He urged leaders to support the youth in making the desired impact.

Senator Goje added that for the party to continue to remain relevant the people must be put first.
