Gombe APC gov’ship aspirant promises agricultural revolution

All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Gombe, Mohammed Jibirin Dan-barde, has promised to put agriculture at the front burner if elected as governor in the 2019 general election.
Dan-barde stated this while speaking with journalists yesterday, explaining that 80 per cent of the state’s working population are employed by the agricultural sector.
“It would be ridiculous to think of any economic development strategies without considering agricultural sector, and I as governor of the state will set up a special project which will build agricultural efficiency and passive income generation.
“I am prepared and equipped for service.
I know the yearnings of my people and I am ready to meet them.
The health sector also is in a mess; go round to the general hospitals and you will find patients coming with their mats and with drips administered on them because there are no beds in the hospitals.
I will transform the health sector to world standard,’ e said.
He said that he will ensure there is clean water to the people of the state to drink as the Senator Danjuma Goje-led administration constructed water project which was abandoned by the present government, adding that he will create jobs for the youths, empower women and ensure quality life for them
