The Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe state, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa yahaiya, has promised to establish a sport academy in the state if elected as governor.
He stated this while speaking during an official presentation of Jersey to football clubs across the state aimed which according to him is aimed “at encouraging sporting activities.”
“The gifts are a motivation and encouragement to football clubs in their business,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the chairman nationwide league and chairman Gombe lions appreciated the gesture offered to them by Yahya describing it as worthy.
Over 15 football clubs in Gombe metropolis and eleven local governments benefited from the gesture.
