Gombe: DPR seals 3 filling stations

Department of Petroleum Resource (DPR) Gombe State Field office has sealed 3 filling stations and decommissioned 3 other for their involvement in sharp practices of under delivery in the state.

The Head of Operation of the DPR Gombe  Mr. Bernard  Emus, started this while addressing Journalists in Gombe on Tuesday shortly after the surveillance and pump integrity check embarked by the agency in the state.

“The surveillance has been a continuous exercise however, this time around is in a very big form due to the directive. One of the filling stations was sealed for selling a large quantity of petroleum product in jerricans and about three hundred liters of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) was confiscated,” he said.

He explained that others were sealed for under dispensing of the product to customers and discharging PMS in Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) tank. We have sealed the stations and we will make sure the owners comply with the sanctions on them,” Mr. Bernard said.
