The Gombe Governor-elect, Alhaji Mohummad Inuwa Yahya, has constituted a transition committee to ensure smooth take-over of power from Gov Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo .
Inaugurating committee, the Gov-elect said to effect a meaningful change in the state the incoming government has to make necessary arrangement for smooth handing over by the out-going administration
“It is for this reason that we constituted a 37 member transition committee and 23 sectorial committee; we expect to confront enormous challenges in all facet of government, the onus lies on us to be prepared and proactive in order to surmount those challenges,” he said.
The Gov-elect said the two committees is not meant to witch-hunt anybody nor it is a probe panel and it is certainly not an audit committee; it is only to help the new administration to evaluate and analyse data, information and statistic regarding the performance of the various sector in the state.
In his remarks, chairman of the committee, Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Ahmad, said the committee would work in line with the guideline given to it.
