Gombe gov mourns Channels TV reporter, Vincent Denture

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has described the death of the Channels Television reporter Mr Vincent Danture  as a huge loss not only to his immediate family but to the journalism profession, the state and the nation at large

This was contained in a press release signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity Samaila Uba Misilli and made available to Newsmen in Gombe on Wednesday.

He said that Vincent was a core professional,  hardworking and dedicated journalist, who contributed immensely in projecting the programmes and policies of Gombe state through balanced reporting.

He expressed the deep condolences of the Government and people of Gombe state to the family of the deceased, management and staff of Channels Television, as well as the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) where Mr Danture once served as the Gombe state Council Secretary, assuring the grieving family of Government support.

He prayed God to grant the departed soul eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Vincent died in the early hours of Wednesday, at the national hospital Abuja, preparatory to his departure to an Indian Hospital for treatment.

Vincent,  39, is survived by his wife, two children and aged mother, among other relatives.
